I am a passionate artist dedicated to creating captivating pieces that inspire and evoke emotion. My journey began in childhood, and I have since developed a unique style that blends traditional techniques with contemporary themes. I studied at the Corcoran School of Art College then transferred to American University where I received my bachelor’s degree in graphic design. I worked at an ad company and freelanced a bit before deciding to pursue fine art and joined Del Ray Artisans in November of 2013. I am also a resident artist at Palette22.

lizauddinart's Vision: Art that Speaks to the Soul
In 2023, I was asked to participate in the Mount Vernon auction. As an employee there, I was honored to create something. The proceeds would go to help with the restoration and maintenance of George Washington’s Estate.
I met artist and actress, Ameerah Briggs, through a networking site and am happy to see her succeed in her passion. She makes beautiful batiks. You can see some of her work at ameerahzarinahstudios.com
She has also been in many films including Split, Green Piece, and The Hangman.
I enjoyed making her portrait with mixed media.
I wanted to thank my artist friend, Rachael A. Bright for letting me have two solo exhibitions back in 2014 and 2015 at her gallery, Local Colour. Formerly located in Old Town, VA, but now Occoquan, Virginia. Check out their website:

Exploring the World with lizauddinart's Brushstrokes
This piece, titled “Queen Ravenna of Snow White“ won a Juror’s award in Del Ray Artisan’s Mixed Media exhibition in 2015. Also in that same year she was one of three of my pieces featured in the Art of City Hall show where artists had work on display in the building.
I was asked to create a painting for the February 2023 Mount Vernon auction. As an employee there, I was honored to participate. It sold for $760.
In March 2020, I had seen the play, Silent Sky at the Ford Theatre in Washington DC, starring Jonathan David Martin. He gave such a memorable performance that it inspired me to make his portrait which he kindly thanked me for. He is also a creative director and producer. He directed the docu-series “Tangible Hope Project”, which featured people who make an impact on their communities. I was so happy to be included, contributing to the first video featuring the front line and essential workers.
